| MISSION STATEMENT We are Musicianaries, called by God, as Ambassadors of Reconciliation to bring hope and healing to marriages, our families and our nation. Our message is in our music. II Cor. 5:18-20 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ , he is a new creation. old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them , and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us, we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin, to be made sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." II Chr. 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land." We are very passionate about the restoration of broken relationships. We love sharing what God has done in our own marriage and family and we give Him all the glory. Opal and I have been singing gospel music in church and on our shows across America since we were married over 39 years ago. Between 1997 - 1999, we went through a marital crisis that nearly destroyed our marriage and family. Since that time, God has given us many opportunities to openly share His goodness and restoration power, thus bringing hope and encouragement to many people. Our number one desire in life is to honor Him in ALL that we do. He has placed us in a very unique type of work/ministry in the entertainment industry. Our variety concerts are primarily in RV resorts in AZ, CA and TX entertaining "Snowbirds", the wonderful seniors in our land. We are excited that He has blessed us with this opportunity, in addition to our ministry in churches and other venues throughout the states. We are honored to be the recipients of the 2007 & 2008 International CGMA Duo of the Year award (Country Gospel Music Association). We received the Central Division CGMA Duo of the Year Award for 2011. Also, The Country Gospel Connection, Hope Street Radio awarded us the 2009 Duo of the Year award. Having grown up in the south with a deep-rooted love for traditional country, southern style, gospel music, Opal continues to do what she is gifted to do best, Gaither style gospel music. She is often referred to as "Little Vestal" as in Vestal Goodman. I sing harmony and play several different instruments, sometimes featuring the steel guitar during our concerts. It was an honor for us to be the Ambassadors on the Road for the the King of the Cowboys, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Happy Trails Theater, Branson, MO for two years. They closed the theater and museum in 2009. But more than anything we are proud to be ambassadors for the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS, Jesus Christ. If you feel that our ministry would bless your people by sharing in concert and/or testimony, we would be honored to get to know you and share a special service or event with you. In His service, |
| May 20, 2011 The Ron & Opal Show Ron & Opal Erickson "WE THANK GOD FOR YOU”! It’s a pleasure and a privilege to write this letter of appreciation on behalf of the Medford Neighborhood Church, of Medford Oregon. All who attended the Mother’s Day concert have asked me to express their gratitude for making our Mother’s Day extra special. Here are some of the messages I’ve received regarding your ministry: 1. Ron and Opal share a “timeless” style of music that is enjoyed by every age group. While their music features a southern style “Gospel”, their vocal style of delivery could be defined as “family style”. 2. Between delivery of songs, Ron and Opal deliver clear and powerful testimonials. Their interaction with one another and the audience is friendly, pleasant, often humorous and appropriately inspirational. 3. Because of their personal transparency, we were invited into their hearts and lives; as well as, they now have a permanent place in our hearts. 4. Before and after the concert, Ron and Opal interacted kindly with all who attended; and their flexibility with changing circumstances made the entire event a pleasant time for all. Ron and Opal, please do not hesitate to use us as a source of reference to any group or organization that desires a wonderful musical event with a dynamic husband and wife duet. We would recommend the two of you without any hesitation or reservation. Please contact us if you ever plan a west coast tour in the future! Joyfully grateful, Rev. V.
